If I'm Not In Love

If I'm not in love with you
What is this I'm going through
Tonight
And if my heart is lying then
What should I believe in
Why do I go crazy
Every time I think about you, baby
Why else do I want you like I do
If I'm not in love with you

And if I don't need your touch
Why do I miss you so much
Tonight
If it's just infatuation then
Why is my heart aching
To hold you forever
Give a part of me I thought I'd never
Give again to someone I could lose
If I'm not in love with you

Why in every fantasy
Do I feel your arms embracing me
Lovers lost in sweet desire
Why in dreams do I surrender
Lying with you baby
Someone help explain this feeling
Someone tell me

If I'm not in love with you
What is this I'm going through
Tonight
And if my heart is lying then what should I believe in
Why do I go crazy
Every time I think about you baby
Why else do I want you like I do
If I'm not in love with you

Something About Us

It might not be the right time
I might not be the right one
But there's something about us I want to say
Cause there's something between us anyway

I might not be the right one
It might not be the right time
But there's something about us I've got to do
Some kind of secret I will share with you

I need you more than anything in my life
I want you more than anything in my life
I'll miss you more than anyone in my life
I love you more than anyone in my life

Thinking Out Loud

"Thinking Out Loud"

When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me—I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are

When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way
I know you will still love me the same

'Cause honey your soul could never grow old, it's evergreen
And, baby, your smile's forever in my mind and memory
I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it's all part of a plan
Well, I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand

But, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
Thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are

So, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are
Oh, baby, we found love right where we are
And we found love right where we are

Back To Basics... Primary Colors

I remember in grade school that we were taught that red, yellow and blue were the primary colors. The one that was taught in school was the RYB model. It's actually a historical color model used in art and painting, even today. I admit, this was very easy to learn.

Reboot...

I have decided that "tech art twist" sounded kinda cheesy. So I'm rebranding this to something more appropriate for me: Confused Wondering Learner. It also sounds kind of like my other blog "Lost Wandering Drifter" since they're kind of related. This blog is for my thoughts for everytime I wonder. The other blog is for my steps wherever I may wander. Yes, I like my puns. I'm trying to be pun-ny. And that amuses me. I don't really care if that makes everyone laugh. The old posts will remain unedited.

(Tech) Shellshock Resistant BASH!

No, the title isn't some special move by some anime or videogame character. Anyone who uses GNU/Linux, Unix or Mac may have read about this already. Basically the command shell used by these OSes (usually BASH, or the Bourne Again SHell) has a bug that allows code to be executed before the actual script is called.

A simple way to find out if your computer's BASH got shellshocked.

As simple way to ind out if your command shell is affected is by running the code below:

env x='() { :;}; echo vulnerable to shellshock' bash -c 'echo Nope. Not today.'

If you're safe, you'd only see the prompt respond with "Nope. Not today."

However, if you see it respond "vulnerable to shellshock" it basically executed code that it wasn't supposed to execute. Your shell has the bug and you're vulnerable.

You're recommended to update and patch your BASH shell to correct this. Chances are, the people that support the OS you're using have already rolled out an update that addresses this bug.

To read more on shellshock, I'd recommend this simple article from engadget.

And no, you don't have to be a geek to address this either.

My thanks to Engadget for the shellshock information: www.engadget.com/2014/09/25/what-is-the-shellshock/

(Tech) Jaegertech - No, I Don't Mean Giant Robots

Wow legs... Why bother with wheels when you can walk anywhere?
When one says "Jaeger" these days folks might think "Those giant robots in the Pacific Rim movie." But no, it isn't. This is from one of the blogs I'm following in Blogger. At this point it's a concept-- But I think this would be cool and I won't be surprised if I see this in real life one day.

This guy, Alex Jaeger is quite the artist. He's not just some artist, he's one awesome dude that worked on several mainstream films. Chances are you probably seen some of his work without knowing it. My focus on this entry, however, is Jaegertech - it showcases concepts of legged vehicles. Notice how the paint scheme resemble modern day race cars. I think this would be a leap in ground transportation someday. It makes sense especially with terrain that's unpredictable. Sure, it's not as fast as any vehicle today but I think this would be more capable to tackle the worst of terrains more than any wheeled vehicle.

See his cool stuff at: http://jaegertech.blogspot.com

(Tech) Why I Don't Like The iPhone

Not too long ago, Apple released the new iPhone 6. Yet again, in this annual frenzy, people flock to buy it. Say what you will, but I think it's a result of very effective marketing: People flocking to buy the same thing they did a year ago, albeit with slightly different specs, a few more features and a more ridiculous price.

(Twist) Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?

This is one song that I find very timeless. It's among the loveliest songs I ever heard. I heard this song when I was a kid. When I rediscovered this some years ago, it was mind blowing. I dare say this is among my all time favorites.

(Twist) Komm, susser Tod

This one's my favorite song from the Evangelion series. "Fly Me To The Moon" and "Cruel Angel's Thesis" may rock, but both don't come close when it comes to twisted appeal of this masterpiece. My favorite, "Komm, Susser Tod."

Fancy a copy of the lyrics? Hit the jump.

(Twist)Thanatos (If I Can't Be Yours)

I thought I'd add this one too. It's a fairly obscure song, but I think it deserves more recognition. This song is from End Of Evangelion. It's one of my favorite animes. It's also among the more twisted ones. I can't deny the taste of the creators when it comes to the music though. This one's a very mellow love song called, "Thanatos (If I Can't Be Yours)".

It's kinda sad though. As usual, lyrics after the jump.

(Twist) Daft Punk - Get Lucky

Well, I'm also a fan of Daft Punk. This one keeps me awake when I'm in night shift duty...

(Twist) Valentine's Day by Linkin Park

I did mention that I was a Linkin Park fan, did I? Here's a song from their album "Minutes To Midnight". This song is called "Valentine's Day."

The video has the lyrics but you can copy the lyrics after the jump...

(Art) All The Music That's Daft And Grimes My Ears

It's not often that I dabble into music. But it's not rare either. Growing up I've been into the usual pop songs like Westlife, Backstreet boys and the like, and went into some Rock/Hip-hop(read: Linkin Park.) However my taste in music is kind of fickle and greedy at the same time.

(Twist) I Painted Millions Of Words II

(Part 2 of 2)

This is a diary of my journey in photography. Part 1 can be found here.

It was the start of the 21st century. Film was still prevalent however, a different medium was beginning to dominate the industry.

(Tech) Learn To Code

Okay, here's a quick list of the references I use in learning to code. This servers as a personal notebook for me to review from time to time, and I don't mind sharing it either.

For the basics/newbies, you might want to start here:

Now for the more specific stuff.
This is just an initial. I'll add more references on the list as I go on.

(Twist) I Painted Millions Of Words I

(Part 1 of 2)

I like gadgets. I suppose in this day and age, very few people don't. Among the gadgets I have, aside from the essential laptop and smartphone, I have a particular sweet spot for the camera. There's a saying that goes, "The best thing about pictures is that they stay the same even if the people in them have changed." I suppose that's what makes it me love cameras. Happy moments are always fleeting and if I have my way I'd preserve it all. A picture paints a thousand words. I have taken tens of thousands of pictures. I dare say close to a hundred-something thousand even. To that effect, I guess you can say I "painted" millions of words.

(Tech) 10 Distributions And Who They're Meant For

It's been the same right from the start. Too many distributions can tend to get confusing. Here's a little something that can help sort out your options leading you to a more informed choice.

This list mentions mostly the popular ones and the big names. But there should be some that can be interesting.

You know who you are and in which audience group you belong. This should help you get started or help you make a choice if you're thinking of switching.

(Art) 50 Things to Avoid in Street Photography

Rain Dance by Stephen Wright. Image taken from Wiki Media Commons

Personally, I don't do street photography. At least not in the Philippines. The streets are teeming with thieves and robbers so basically, wielding a camera becomes a bit of a status symbol whether you intend to or not. It's expensive to lose a gear for me. That aside, for the rest of you who like getting into street photography, this article would help you in improving your craft.

Enjoy and happy shooting! ... And be wary of who's near your gear.

(Tech) The Top 7 Best Linux Distros for 2014 | Linux.com

For some time I've been on Ubuntu 13.04. It's been working so well that I didn't find it worth the effort to upgrade to 13.10. The next version that would probably interest me is 14.04 or at most, 14.10... But it's still some time away. I've been poking around the net and found something that piqued my interest. I've had about enough of the Unity interface, but I still like running on Linux. The same goes for being in Ubuntu. I supposed I've gotten so used to the way they package things. It's refreshing to see that there are still other distros and they're all getting better. Chances are I might switch to Lubuntu or Xubuntu eventually. Windows 8.1 may be awesome right now, but other than for gaming I still can't justify to myself paying for the price of the OS. Yes, I'm such a cheapskate.
