(Art) The Mother

Yes, I'm dabbling in poetry again. Same poem with a different twist. I just modified it a bit to sound less cruel and judging.

(Tech) Endeavor Over San Mateo

When I woke up this morning I never thought that the day was going to be special for a geek like me. I found out at work that today the space shuttle Endeavor was going to be flown around California before it would land in LA to be finally retired as a museum display. I was fortunate to see it with my own eyes and have a video for keeps!

(Art) A Reminder, Praise, and Imprecation

I tried dabbling a bit in poetry... It has been some time since I last went artsy. Well here's how it turned out.

(Tech) List Of Network Ports

For some time I found myself stuck with the question "What does this port do?" Or "What's the port for... "

Well to save myself the further trouble I saved a couple of links with that information. Just taking notes here. Here's a link to the list of well known ports in a network.

(Twist) Re-elect Me, Maybe?

I usually don't have any interest in political figures... But this one just catches my attention. Good for a laugh or two.

(Twist) Military Portraits

Not too recently I've been seeing some "military portraits" of action heroes and other celebrities around the net -- Bill Murray, Elvis Presley, Sly Stallone, Bruce Willis to name a few. I thought I'd join in the band wagon and do something similar. No not because I'm a celebrity. I think it just looks cool...

It's hasn't been too long since its release and it's already making waves in the Internet. Check out this article for more insights.

Ubuntu Linux 12.04: Microsoft's Worst Nightmare?

But of course, don't just take other people's word for it. It's still more fun if you'd try using it yourself. :)

(Art) The Rule Of Thirds

When taking pictures, there's more to it than just aiming and clicking. One doesn't necessarily have to become a pro or have a high end camera to take great pictures. The start of having better pictures is to have a good composition. Personally I use the Rule Of Thirds.

(Tech) Stepping Away From The Mainstream

Dare to be different from the majority.
Yes, because Windows and Macs are too mainstream. My sources for my alternatives here...

(Tech) SOPA & PIPA: Why It's Bad For You

I've been seeing this recent trending on the Internet. May everyone be aware of this and let's do our share to protest against this madness that's driven by those with selfish interests. Long live the free & open Internet!

(Tech) New Year, New Challenges, New Lappy: Hello Lenovo

(WARNING: Content may be to geeky for the average person.)Some ramblings and a touch of sentimentalism. My faithful companion and ever-loyal partner in my day-to-day survival (No, not my girlfriend, I am yet to find a broad that's loyal enough *read: loyal. No ifs, no buts. Period.* without requiring high maintenance, but that's another story.), an Acer Aspire 4710, has recently reached what appears to be the end of its life... At least as far as its casing is concerned. After a long time searching on all the stores time and again for the best laptop I can get for the least possible price, I was at last able to find one... And it certainly was no easy feat.
