New Look, Less Confusion, More Wonder!

Fiddling with stuff when I feel like it.

I suppose it happens every now and then. I recently had some itch to fiddle with things, namely the blogs. Though I've still been churning out content here and there from time to time, I have mostly not been very particular with the layout, look and feel of the sites. Maybe partly because I didn't like fiddling with CSS. Viewing the CSS code in Blogger was partly confusing as well.

I have been, for as long as I can remember, a supporter of free and open source software. Since I discovered Ubuntu way back in 2007, I have long stopped having to pay for software on my personal computing life. However, there have been challenges. I've been easily able to overcome them. But there are some things that can't just be easily overcome.

Power Overwhelmed

Not too long ago, my battery kicked the bucket. It's still there but it's not working anymore. Battery aside I'm impressed with Lenovo's build quality. I expected the hinges to give up first. But the hinges are still alright.

Finally Doing It Raw

Er,  no, it's not what you think. I bet that caught some attention though. LOL

It was not only too long ago that I've decided to completely shoot using RAW format instead of the usual JPEG. After years of being lazy by shooting JPEG I've decided to improve my usual output. No it wasn't due to any epiphany of sorts. I just got fed up with my usual image quality. It doesn't surprise me anymore half the time. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad about shooting using JPEG. Modern cameras have very capable image processing engines. But the thing is, that's hardly pushing the envelope...
